• What is the schedule of events?
Gala Award Opening: Wednesday, March 7, 6:00 -9:00 PM, sponsored by Maine Home & Design.
The show is open Thursday, 10:00 Am – 6:00 PM
Friday & Saturday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; followed by the plant auction.
• How can I volunteer for the Portland Flower Show?
Volunteers are an important part of the show, needed both before and after. If you’re interested, please contact our volunteer coordinator:

• Where can I park?
There is information on parking on the Directions page.
• Is handicapped parking available?
Yes! We have reserved on-site parking for anyone with a handicapped sign displayed. Please come right to 58 Fore Street and you will be able to drop off right at the entrance and park on site. We have a golf cart to move anyone to the second floor handicapped entrance on Fore Street as needed. Please just ask the volunteers at any entrance to assist you.
• What is opening preview night?
The Portland Flower Show Gala Opening is on Wednesday, March 7 from 6 – 9:00 PM.
Sponsored by Maine Home and Design, this is your opportunity to view the show in a less crowded environment. The Children’s Essay Contest awards will be presented by The University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Then the excitement builds when the landscape awards, which have been determined that afternoon by a team of judges with expertise in differing aspects of landscape design, are presented to the winners at approximately 7:00 PM.
The evening includes music provided by a popular trio for your listening pleasure as you stroll through the garden exhibits, hor’s doeuvre’s and a cash bar provided by Kitchen Chicks all presented by our wonderful sponsors at Maine Home & Design.
• How much are the tickets?
Opening Night tickets are $30 Advance Purchase and $45 at the door (One Night Only)
Advance ticket prices for the show are:
$12.00 for Senior Citizens (65 and older)
$13.00 for General Admission
ALL tickets at the door are $15.00

• Will there be gardening books and periodicals available at the show?
No bookstore at this time. (TBA)
• Where are you located? What is available for parking?

• Can I bring my camera and take pictures during the show?
Absolutely!
• Do you have wheelchairs available on site?
No, you will have to bring your own. Also be advised there is no elevator, there are handicapped entrances to both floors of the show.
• Can I bring pets to the show?
For purposes of human comfort (allergies, crowds, etc) no pets are allowed other than service animals.
• Will there be food available at the show?
Yes. Overlooking Portland Harbor, the PFS Café provided by Amato’s will offer delectable food and drinks.
• Is there anything for children to do at the show?
Plenty of activities will enhance the experience the youngsters who attend the show (children under 12 are free with a paying adult). There will be a Children’s Discovery Garden, information is under Events.
• Is there an auction after the show closes?
Yes, the University of Maine cooperative extension hosts a plant auction after the show closes on Sunday evening. Plants are generously donated from the garden exhibits. The Silent Auction takes place in Building 11 (across the parking lot from the entrance) during the afternoon on Sunday. The live auction of plants starts at 5:30 in Building 3. Please be patient for the auction to begin as we move a lot of plants in a very short amount of time. thank you!
